Permafrost Brooch

"Permafrost" was the very first piece I created utilizing Wooly Mammoth teeth.

The tooth cross section has been sawn, filed, drilled and sanded before being set in a hand made sterling silver bezel. The top portion of the brooch (or the side if you prefer wearing it sideways) has been textured with various hammers.

A patina was added last to add contrast to the texture.
