This pendant was created as part off a collection for a gallery exhibition. The theme was the destruction left behind after Prince Edward Island was hit by hurricane Fiona.
The pendant was designed to portray the incredible amount of erosion Fiona left in her wake.
The "waves" were achieved by cuttlefish casting sterling silver. Hand drawn square, sterling silver wire was used to frame the individual pieces. While the red cliffs of PEI were created from rusted steel roof pieces from a neighbour's barn that was blown off in the hurricane.
Wears wonderfully and has a story! What more could you ask for!?
